Design an app to unify Sam’s Club internal tools. Define and deliver a cohesive Design Language System (DLS) for Sam’s Club to apply to existing and future designs for their internal tools.

We audited Sam’s Club internal tools, and this helped us better understand existing design patterns, styling & interactions, as well as provide insights into how to leverage existing design and inform the Design Language System.

Concept Phase:

  • Creation of moodboards—defining three visual directions

  • Design explorations to illustrate & translate visual directions

We defined three visual directions that reflected Sam’s Club brand expression for their internal tools—looking for opportunities to strengthen brand voice and leverage existing design.
