PROJECT

Play Possible for Schools is a deck of cards that expands on a framework defined by Laura Seargeant Richardson—composed by 11 powers of play that reinforce the importance of play as a creative tool. The ask was to define a brand, a color system, and a brand expression—to be applied to deck of cards, presentation materials, packaging, and more.

Before: “Periodic Table of Play” represents Laura Richardson’s original framework and design. Published in Fast Company article “The Periodic Table of How Kids Play,” by Carey Dunne in 2014.

After: Updated framework and design; which continues to delineate all Play Powers, with a flexible framework that allows for expansion. The Periodic Table of Play directly informed the process for brand definition and card deck brand expression.
